Four-colour printed fabric finished with 3D varnish
The art book "reflections. Positionen aus der National-Bank Sammlung" contains an extensive selection of works from the collection of the National Bank in Essen.
The book was bound in DUCHESSE offset. Thanks to its special adjustment, this cover fabric offers outstanding image reproduction in offset printing and can also be beautifully finished. In this book, the title was coated with 3D varnish to create a visible and tactile elevation that matches the designed reflection of the word "reflections". The cover, featuring a reproduction of a painting by Chris Succo, has the same look and feeling as the original on canvas.
Over several decades, the National Bank Essen has built up a collection of works by numerous artists from North Rhine-Westphalia and the immediate neighbourhood of the Düsseldorf Art Academy. The catalogue was produced for the same name exhibition in 2024 at the Museum Ludwig in Koblenz.
